Getting started

For a while now I have found myself drawn over and over again to the face to face encounters people had with Christ in the Bible. People like Nicodemus, the Samaritan woman at the well (I'm sure she had a name, but I have no idea what it is), Simon Peter, Pilate, and even Paul. The list goes on and on - each encounter significant then and now. As I read and reflect on these encounters, I begin to realize that there is a truth to be learned behind each experience - some rather simple and easy to understand and others a bit more complex, requiring thought and contemplation. Now I don't claim to have a full understanding of the implications of every encounter with Christ in the Bible. But I think I would at least like to share some of my thoughts on the subject, encounter by encounter. If nothing else - this will be a journal of my own efforts at understanding and personal application. But feel to read along, and make comments (I'm certainly open to your input). Who knows? Maybe we'll experience a little truth together along the way. My first REAL post will be on the face to face encounter Nicodemus had with Jesus in the third chapter of the Gospel of John (coming soon). Enjoy.
